Purchased coverage on my Honda when my factory warranty expired. They did not charge interest like the dealership and saved me money. Coverage can be used at my Honda dealership and covers all the same components. Glad I shopped around and did not purchase from my dealer. Highly recommend this company.

Exceptional Customer Service

I have been with this company since 2016. I have nothing but good things to say. When I needed them to look at my truck and okay it about my power train, they were there Johnny on the spot! My truck was fixed! I appreciate them so much that I am staying with them with my new truck as well!

Diego did such a great job by explaining the warranty this time, I’m all in! Thank you Diego for exceptional customer service! You deserve to win. If I could do it again, I would!

Frequently Asked Questions

Take a look at our Frequently Asked Questions below.

Contact us if you have additional questions.

What is Ridesure?
Is this car insurance?
No. Car insurance covers damages to your vehicle and liability in the event of a collision. We cover the repair bill when your car breaks down—something insurance does not do. Our vehicle protection plans cover hundreds of repairs from a $500 radiator replacement to a $3,800 new transmission.
What is Ridesure? – Mechanical Breakdown Coverage
You already have auto insurance for your fender-benders. Our mechanical breakdown coverage takes care of the big stuff, like your engine, transmission, and everything that gets the tires rolling.
How are Ridesure’s plans different from competitors?
  • Month-to-month vs. long term contract. Our protection plans are month-to-month, allowing you to cancel anytime. Our competitors typically only offer coverage as a long-term contract that is very difficult to cancel or won’t refund your money.
  • Lower cost. Ridesure subscriptions cost ⅓ of what competitors charge for similar products.
  • Transparency. The other guys won’t publish their pricing or product information online because they add huge markups and oversell what the coverage actually provides. We put everything online for you and give you a quote instantly, without a salesperson marking it up.
  • More coverage options. Competitors typically only cover new or low-mileage vehicles. Ridesure has coverage options for high-mileage vehicles.
  • You choose the repair shop. Ridesure subscriptions allow you to have your car serviced at the repair shop of your choice.

How does is save me money?
Car repair bills are expensive. The average repair bill costs $500 to $600. But with Ridesure Vehicle Repair Protection, you don’t have to worry about repair bills. For a low-cost monthly subscription, Vehicle Repair Protection covers the bill for big and small repairs, from a $600 AC repair to a $3,800 transmission replacement.
How much does it cost?
All plans are paid as a monthly subscription that you can cancel anytime. Prices for Vehicle Repair Protection vary depending on your vehicle’s make, model, year, and mileage.
Are Ridesure plans insured?
Yes. All our coverage plans are underwritten by an A rated (excellent) insurance company.
How does my subscription work?
Is there a money-back guarantee?
At Ridesure, we stand behind our service. All coverage options are protected by an industry best 60 Day Money Back Guarantee. If for any reason you are dissatisfied with your monthly subscription, just let us know and if our customer care team can’t help you, we’ll provide you with a full refund less any paid claims.
What if I miss a payment?
There is a 5-day grace period for missed payments. If you make the payment within this timeframe, your coverage will continue as usual. However, during the grace period you will not be able to make any new claims. If you do not make the payment within 5 days of the due date, your subscription will be automatically put on hold. You can reactivate your coverage by making a payment; however, there will be a one month waiting period before you can make a new claim.
What do you do with my information?
We will never sell your information to third parties. For more information, refer to our privacy policy.
When do I get billed for my subscription?
Your first payment is due at signup. Your recurring subscription payment will take place on the same day of the month that you signed-up on. Note that if your coverage starts on the 29th, 30th or 31st, we automatically adjust your bill day to the 1st of the month.
I have questions about my coverage. Who should I contact?
If you have a subscription with Ridesure, you can contact the Ridesure claims team by calling (877)681-6663.
What's covered?
Is my car covered?
What’s covered depends on how old and how many miles are on your vehicle at the time of repair. All of our Vehicle Repair Protection plans cover your vehicle’s powertrain, the vehicle’s essential “go” systems. We also offer additional coverage options for Tire & Wheel. Ridesure does not cover preexisting conditions.
Is labor covered?
Of course. For all covered components, both the parts and the labor are covered by a Ridesure plan.
Are electric and hybrid cars covered?
Yes. However, there are exclusions to this coverage. We don’t cover repairs on electric powered or hybrid fuel parts including, but not limited to: electric fuel cells, regenerative braking systems, or electronic memory systems. We also don’t cover any parts or components of a natural gas/propane fuel system. Note: A hybrid vehicle is defined as any vehicle that uses alternative or electric fuel sources.
What if my car is still under it manufacturer warranty?
Most comprehensive coverage (bumper-to-bumper) under a manufacturer warranty only lasts around 2-3 years or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first. The other part of the warranty that lasts around 5 years or 50,000 miles or more only covers your powertrain and is very limited in what breakdowns you will be covered for. Vehicle Repair Protection gives you the same comprehensive coverage that the manufacturer warranty included, but well past the 36,000 mile mark, which is when breakdowns tend to start happening. This includes many parts beyond powertrain, such as technology components, A/C and heating, brakes, and a lot more.
Is routine maintenance covered?
Ridesure is here for the big stuff. You keep up with the regular maintenance and we’ll jump in when unexpected breakdowns happen. There maintenance plans available though.
Claims
Is there a deductible?
Yes. How much your deductible is depends on the type of coverage you have and on what you decide you want to pay. Our Vehicle Repair Protection plans have a deductible of $100
How do I make a claim?
Visit our claims page for steps on making a claim for your coverage, or call the repair telephone number on your coverage card.
Why was my claim denied?
Our goal is to cover as many repairs as possible! However, there are some repairs we simply don’t cover. We may deny your claim if:
  • The vehicle component requiring repair or replacement is not covered under your protection plan. You can view a full list of covered components on your subscription contract.
  • The repair is due to a preexisting condition. Ridesure does not cover preexisting conditions.

What if I have a pre-existing condition?
We don’t cover preexisting conditions – or issues that are already wrong with the vehicle before signing up.
What's included?
What if I need a rental car?
Many of our plans include rental coverage. When your car is in the shop, we’ll reimburse you for the cost of a rental car.
Do you provide roadside assistance?
Yes! 24-hour Roadside Assistance is a base benefit that’s included in all Ridesure subscriptions. Roadside Assistance covers you for flat tires, lockouts, dead batteries, fluid deliveries and emergency tows. To request roadside assistance, call (800)999-4501 and tell them your account number is 130040 and either provide your contract number or your VIN to get instant roadside help.
Where is my VIN?
The VIN is typically located on the driver’s side of your dashboard, close to the windshield. It’s easiest to view from outside the vehicle by looking towards the steering wheel. It may also be located on the driver’s side door jamb and on your insurance card.
Canceling your coverage
How do I cancel? Can I get a refund?
While we’d be sad to see you go, we have a penalty-free cancellation policy. Prior to vehicle activation, you can cancel your subscription agreement and receive a full refund. After your paid coverage has started, you can cancel and receive a prorated refund—meaning you only pay for the time your car was covered, no more and no less. Email support@ridesure.com to begin the cancellation process.
Is there a penalty for cancelling?
No. We have a penalty-free cancellation policy. Prior to vehicle activation, you can cancel your subscription agreement and receive a full refund. After your paid coverage has started, you can cancel and receive a prorated refund—meaning you only pay for the time your car was covered, no more and no less.
